 BACKGROUND

 Joint Effort for future Uganda is community Based Organisation that has been operating for 9 years since 2013 August. Our programs comprise interventions organised around the following themes: Child protection, Psycho social support Care and Protection of Orphans and other vulnerable Children (OVC), Livelihoods support, response and Prevention of all forms of Violence against Women and Children.

Joint Effort for Future Uganda also is able to provide educational support items to critically vulnerable children, train and equip Children and Youth with basic knowledge and skills in apprenticeship, Cottage training, Bakery, train caregivers, farmers and Community Resource Persons , provide HIV Preventive messages to adolescents and Youth, HIV treatment Literacy to positive Children, Adherence counselling to both Children, Youth and Caregivers, support project beneficiaries who miss appointment dates with ART refills, Water Hygiene and sanitation promotional activities, Emergency food support to Children not virally suppressed due to insufficient food, follow up to lost clients and also transporting children from distant places to access ART services from their respective Health facilities to continuously achieve suppression.

The Community Based Organisation also empowers caregivers with knowledge and skills on financial literacy that is Village Savings and Loans Association, Parenting, establishment of back yard gardens to supplement the available food and agribusiness.

Joint Effort for Future Uganda is active in Western Uganda but with the possibility of extending services to nearby Districts upon availability of funds.

The Community Based Organisation is being supported by the Government of Uganda and other partners to address causes and effects of poverty through Development. Relief and advocacy.

Joint Effort for Future Uganda is legally registered at Sub-county/Town Council Level, District level and Uganda Registration Services Bureau. Under section18 (3) of the companies Act 2012 REG.NO:80020002475379 Limited by Guarantee.

Currently since 2019 to date the community Based Organisation is sensitizing Community members and Schools on how to prevent the spread of Covid-19 pandemic by observing standard Operating Procedures.

The Youth who are trained in apprenticeship are supposed to be supported with tools kits to begin anew journey but because of limited resources very few are being supported and as a result others join other Garages, Salons to earn a living as they look for capital to start trades where they were trained with the aim of achieving financial stability.

Joint Effort for Future Uganda works in close collaboration with the office of District Community Development Officer, Senior Probation and Social welfare officer to handle child abuse cases, domestic violence, the office of Family and Child Protection Unit to ensure that rights of Children are not abused and fully enjoyed.
